PPC (or pay per click) publishing is fast becoming the method of choice for online web business owners. And what is not to like? It is effective, efficient and has fewer drawbacks compared to other methods of business promotion. Here are five cutting edge tips that can help you generate more income in pay per click publishing:

1. Website planning is of great importance. You must know your area of strength and figure out the market which you wish to target through PPC publishing. And then you have to establish a relevant website for this so there will be a relevant connection between your website and your articles.

2. Your ads must be places strategically. And by strategic, we mean putting them in places where visibility is maximized and has the potential to generate more clicks from customers or curious folk. Word of advice: it is always best to place them on the left side since people read things from left to right in a linear manner. You may also choose to place several ads in one place, but in different positions.

3. Update your website on a regular basis. If you have the time and enough pertinent information coming in, update on a daily basis. If not, you can settle for weekly or once every two weeks. It really does depend on the kind of information that you present, but everything must reach the audience in the soonest possible time for them to keep coming back for more.

4. Your ads must be sized and colored appropriately, in an effective manner. They should be big enough and colorful enough to attract customers without being overly flamboyant.

5. Consider textual links over banner ads on some occasions. Textual links will provide the words which customers need to see instead of colorfully decorated pictures, but since there are art- and language-inspire people everywhere, the best is always to come up with both.
